Physical Education

We pride ourselves on being an ‘Active School’.  All children are expected to take part in physical activities, including Dance, Games, Movement, Gymnastics, and outdoor activities.  One and a half hours a week are spent on these activities.

Some sports activities are taught by specialist coaches, e.g.  football, dance, gymnastics.

All children need plimsolls, a shoe bag, a white T-shirt and navy shorts.  All items should be clearly marked with your child’s name.

The school has a hall, playground, and playing field for sports activities.  Some sporting activities and clubs are held after school.

Children in Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 have the opportunity to go to Redditch Swimming Baths.  Parents are asked to contribute towards the cost of the coach.  Children have the opportunity of gaining awards and certificates from the National Swimming Plan.  Children in KS2 who meet the required swimming standard have the opportunity to take the National Curriculum Water Safety Award.

Swimming bags are available from school.
